Start with the exact template
Use the producer’s printable dimensions and orientation. Mark handle, seam, safe area and any region where colour or detail is uncertain.
Choose the first view
Decide what a right- or left-handed user should see and whether the design reads from one side or around the mug. Keep key text away from the handle.
Approve a realistic proof
Check scale, spelling, artwork version and wrap direction. Ask for a physical sample when placement or colour is commercially important.
